This is the first piece that I designed and built after  reading  two books on cabinet making by James Krenov, I was so moved that I built this piece of furniture in my parent’s basement with no previous training and only a few dull hand tools. The front is wider than the backing, giving the work the stance of a Chinese Fu Dog.

The almost hidden lower shelf is great for storing magazines in a hurry.
