The Strad is a contemporary, lyrical, sculptural rendition of a 1674 Stradivarius Cello.  I was a Cello player, so this piece was particularly near and dear to me.  I designed this homage to an instrument that I love.  The tail piece and the fingerboard are backed with a discreet row of led lights that help the piece to glow and visually float in a darkened room.  There are separate switches for the tailpiece and fingerboard lights.  This sculpture can also be disconnected from its base and wall-mounted.
